About
Hello, friends! Welcome to Podcast Shakespeare, a listening tour of the Bard’s many lives – personal, critical, theatrical, and popular. We’ll be taking trips from Ancient Egypt to Dark Ages Britain, from pirate ships to Hollywood, and everywhere in between. There’ll be radio plays, gems from the silver screen, and a host of other surprises. Episodes now playing at Libsyn , iTunes, Stitcher, and Soundcloud – and don’t forget to check out our playlist on Spotify.
We’re journeying chronologically, from The Two Gentlemen of Verona to The Two Noble Kinsmen, making detours via a range of topics covering William Shakespeare’s history, life, and afterlife. I do hope you’ll join me.
I’m Samuel Yeo, a graduate in Theatre Studies and English Literature from the Australian National University, Canberra. My background includes theatre education, Classical Studies and, of course, Shakespeare. I have worked as an actor, writer, producer, and opera librettist.
